The second year Drama and Theatre Studies students at East Norfolk Sixth Form College put on a thought provoking set of pieces for invited audiences over four performances in the College's theatre space.

Responding to a theme set by the exam board, four groups of students presented widely varying work.

First on was Bloody Mary, based on the true story of an alcohol fuelled murder of a young girl in Exmouth in 2007. The audience was the jury as the students painted two pictures of binge drinking and the unheeded cries for help of Richard Dexter's Adam Thomas, found guilty of the murder of Mary Stokes, played by Claire Chambers.

In contrast, Liam Applegate played a larger-than-life game show host in a piece based on the Vietnam War. The audience saw blanket bombing, Napalm and My Lai.

Still in 1968, John Nottage was Enoch Powell delivering the infamous Rivers of Blood speech, set against Josh Parry's version of Trevor Philips' speech delivered in the same hotel, 40 years on.

Finally we were treated to a pastiche of the Theatre Alibi style of physical theatre story-telling. Victoria Allard was a totally believable young woman, Sue White, searching for love in a world populated by weird characters. Constantly dis-enchanted, she finally finds happiness with Liam McManus' Percy.
