THE girls on East Norfolk Sixth Form College's BTEC National Diploma course in Public Services (Uniformed Services) have achieved the remarkable feat of being the best in any school or college in the UK for the second time in three years.

The publishers of the “Good Schools Guide” analyses all results on a three year rolling basis and issue a certificate of excellence to the top performing school or college. The college's girls can now add this year's award to the one they won in 2007.

Students on the course are preparing for careers in the armed forces and the emergency services. They combine academic studies which give them the equivalent of up to three A grade passes at A level, with a wide range of practical activities and close links with all the forces and the police, fire and other emergency and public services.
