Great Yarmouth Borough Councils Sports Development Service have put together two weeks of sporting activity to help parents keep their children active. So if you want to give your child a chance to sample a sport that they might want to take up in later life, please consider these as options.
MONDAY, APRIL 6
TEN-PIN BOWLING at Regent Bowl, Great Yarmouth 10am to 11.45am. Your chance to give the children a go at Ten-Pin Bowling and we will give them 'tips' and advice on improving their game plus they will have fun playing alongside other boys and girls. Cost �4 per child
TUESDAY, APRIL 7 and WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15
TENNIS DAYS at Gorleston Tennis Club, Orde Avenue, Gorleston 10am to 3pm each day
Tennis is a game where your skills with a racket are all important and children should get some coaching and practice in early in life. Once you can handle a racket you can play the game again and again. Come and get some coaching and play practice and this can only improve your game. Cost �12 per child, per day
TUESDAY, APRIL 7
SKIING FOR BEGINNERS at Norfolk Ski Club, Trowse, Norwich 11.30am to 4pm.
Each school holiday we like to take some children to Trowse to learn the first steps in skiing. Here is your chance to get some top tuition. Transport is provided, but spaces are limited. Cost �16 per child (including transport)
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, APRIL 8 & 9
STARTRACK ATHLETICS at Wellesley Road Athletics Track, Great Yarmouth 10am to 11.30am each day.
Our Startrack programme is always popular, giving the active child their chance to learn more about the world of Athletics. From Running and Jumping to Throwing and Hurdling there is always lots and lots to discover. Cost �22 per child (2 days)
TUESDAY, APRIL 14
BADMINTON at York Road Drill Hall, Great Yarmouth 2pm to 4pm
Badminton is a wonderful game to learn and once learnt you can keep going back to it throughout your sporting life. Come and get some top tuition from Phil Lowe and enjoy the experience Cost �4 per child.
FRIDAY, APRIL 17
GYMNASTICS & TRAMPOLINE DAY at Oriel High School, Gorleston
10am to 12.30pm 5 to 7 years old
10am to 3pm 8 years and above
Girls and Boys aged 5 to 7 can get some early experience in this sport, as we are running a morning with you in mind. If you are aged 8 and above you can stay through to 3pm and take some extra tuition and challenges in the sport.
Cost 5 to 7 years old �6 per child
Cost 8 years and above �12 per child
Activities are for children aged 8 and above except where stated.

PARENTS across the country are tightening their belts in the current economic climate, however, keeping kids active and healthy remains a top priority. With this in mind, Asda has extended a helping hand by offering freee sports sessions for kids in Great Yarmouth during the 2009 Easter school holidays.
Asda's Sporting Chance sessions are being rolled out across the UK, and kids are being offered access to at least five different sports sessions for FREE within a 10mile radius of every Asda store in Yarmouth, ensuring that sport is accessible and affordable for families on a tight budget, and gearing kids up for holidays jam packed with activity.
Asda's Sporting Chance vouchers are available in store from the the 24th March. The vouchers are also available to download from www.asda-sportingchance.co.uk

� Pop into their local ASDA store and pick up a Sporting Chance voucher from the checkouts OR download one from www.asda-sportingchance.co.uk
� Visit the website or call 0845 366 6979 to search for sessions near you
� Call the session provider direct to book a place
� Enjoy the session - don't forgot to take along your voucher!
