All the fun of the fair has arrived in Great Yarmouth.
The town’s traditional Easter Fair has about 100 rides and attractions that will draw the crowds until Sunday.
Among the rides and attractions this year are dodgems, a bomber, a fun house, and a helter-skelter. There will also be other fairground attractions, including traditional snacks.
Kerry Robinson-Payne, mayor of the borough, launched the fair in the Market Place on Thursday afternoon.
The fair continues today and tomorrow from 11am to 11pm, and on Sunday between noon and 6pm.
During the fair’s opening hours, there will be a temporary road closure on Fullers Hill, at The Conge, to where it joins Priory Plain.
It is organised by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, in conjunction with the eastern counties branch of the Showmen’s Guild.
Mrs Robinson-Payne handed over the ceremonial Charter Key for the duration of the fair to representatives of the Showmen’s Guild.
