Shine has had lots of fun over the last few weeks and is now getting ready for a spooky Halloween half term.

Pumpkin rice snap cakes, lanterns and masks have all been under construction ahead of the holiday with young ones enjoying dressing-up and role play games.

A spokesman said: “Over the past few weeks we have been looking at autumn, collecting sweet chestnuts from our tree, making clay leaves and using leaves to make prints.

“We have looked at all the beautiful colours of autumn and have discovered we have a hedgehog that comes to visit the garden. We will soon be learning about bonfire night and the importance of keeping ourselves and our pets safe.”

On November 5 some of Shine’s staff will be at the Great Yarmouth Comic Con, who have kindly chosen to support the centre this year, along with some of the children and young people who attend the groups.

They are always looking for volunteers and people to help raise funds to provide lots of fun activities for members.
