Gorleston college welcomes appointment of deputy principal

A sixth form college has welcomed the appointment of a new deputy principal who will focus on making students outstanding learners.
From April Dr Simon Fox will become deputy principal at East Norfolk Sixth Form College in Gorleston.
Dr Fox is currently the headteacher at Flegg High School in Martham.
In new his role as deputy principal and deputy chief executive officer from April Dr Fox will continue to develop the curriculum, enhance teaching and focus on outstanding performance.
He will be responsible for expanding courses in the college such as the extended project qualification from September 2018.

East Norfolk Sixth College principal, Dr Catherine Richards, said: “Dr Fox will be joining the organisation at a very exciting time.
“We have received formal approval by the Head Teacher Board and Regional Schools Commissioners to establish East Norfolk Multi Academy Trust in early 2018.

“Dr Fox will be help us to work even more effectively with our schools’ colleagues to help to support social mobility and the very best outcomes for young people in the east.
“His appointment will further support East Norfolk’s central purpose; to offer the very best quality sixth form education for all high schools in the area.
“The college has provided very good sixth form education for schools for 35 years and this appointment will help us to continue excellence well in to the future.”
