At the end of the year St George’s Primary School held an inter schools chess tournament enjoyed by young ones.

This year’s winner was Morgan Twoes from North Denes Primary School with Beatriz Da Silva from St George’s Primary School coming second.

Five of the seven schools in the cluster took part in this year’s chess club and tournament run by Mr Fox of St George’s Primary School.

Each school had its own winner; Callum Perry from St Nicholas Primary School, Beatriz Da Silva from St George’s Primary School, Morgan Twoes from North Denes Primary School, Christopher Ball from GY Primary Academy and Harley Bues-Bensley from Alderman Swindell Primary School.
