A village school is celebrating after being recognised for setting up a caring crusaders and anti-bullying ambassador scheme.
Homefield Church of England School in Bradwell has been presented with a Diana Award.
The presentation event in Birmingham saw seven of the 12 school’s Caring Crusaders, also known as anti-bullying ambassadors, pick up the award. Headteacher Bradley Young said: “Such a prestigious occasion and achievement emphasises all that is good about Homefield Church of England Primary School and its pupils.
“Not only do our pupils possess fantastic behaviour and good character, but they also have the responsible nature to ensure these areas of the school remain strong.
“The school is extremely proud of this accolade and aspire to be successful in it once again. Thank you Caring Crusaders and supporting staff.”
The Diana Award aims to develop and inspire positive change in the future of young people. One of its main strands is a high profile anti-bullying programme.
