A village primary school is celebrating after Ofsted inspectors said it was “a very happy and industrious place.”

Ludham Primary School and Nursery retained its “good” status and was showered with praise by the body that sets standards in the classroom.

Pupil behaviour was tagged as “exemplary” at the “friendly, open, and welcoming” school where children want to do well, appreciate their teachers and enjoy coming to school.

Teaching to mixed year groups was also said to be working well, meeting the needs of all pupils.

Headteacher Heather Delf, said: “We are delighted to retain our ‘good’ status.

“Our school has many strengths, which were identified by Ofsted, including our robust safeguarding procedures, positive teacher-pupil relationships, high expectations, and exemplary standards of behaviour.

“Our curriculum is rich and diverse and we offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities.

The overwhelming support of governors, staff, families and pupils is instrumental in helping us to continue raising standards across the school.”
