An annual bursary supporting the future of talented young musicians has ensured students at a Gorleston school can continue to pursue their musical dreams.
Four students from Ormiston Venture Academy have been awarded the performing arts bursary from the Great Yarmouth Haven Rotary Club after impressing in auditions.
Cameron Simmons, Jake Needam, Toby Coleman and Cody Lawes demonstrated their vocal skills and their piano and clarinet talents.
They were awarded their bursaries by Rotary club president Keith Futter and vice president Malcolm Bugge.
Jake said: “I am really grateful to be chosen for this award, I will use the bursary to purchase equipment needed to start recording my music.”
Staff member Claire Ditcham said: “I am extremely proud of the way that all our Venture musicians have embraced the audition process involved. The power of music is magical and we are delighted that the Rotary Club have been able to support our students aspirations.”
