If you were in Northgate Primary School, Great Yarmouth this week, you would have seen the Red Watch Fire Crew visiting Year 2 pupils.

The children are currently learning about the Great Fire of London in 1666. As part of the fire-fighting experience provided by Red Watch, the young ones found out about the different aspects of fighting fires in the past and present.

Pupils also had the opportunity to try on the specialist clothing and equipment and they learned what to do if a person’s clothing catches fire: Stop, Drop and Roll!
