The event at St Nicholas Priory Primary School in Great Yarmouth saw 32 children nominated for the awards by their class mates and teachers.

They had to show constant outstanding behaviour and be excellent role models in the school.

The children were presented with a golden Oscar trophy and a certificate before joining parents, carers and staff for some refreshments.

Headteacher Maria Grimmer said: “Parents and carers expressed how proud they were to see their child acknowledged for good behaviour and shared positive comments on our Facebook page.”

The school also held a live webchat with author Anthony Horowitz after year 6 pupils had written letters to him.

He spoke to them about finding inspiration in mundane, everyday objects.
