Children presented their views of harvest to their families, standing by the display of generous gifts of food sent in for Alderman Swindell’s Harvest Festival.
On Thursday, October 6, Alderman Swindell Primary School invited families to attend their harvest festival. The Rev Jemma Sander-Heys inspired us to broaden our view of seeds, especially ‘Seeds of the Mind’ the Young Ones shared their research about harvest in all faiths and the choir got everyone moving to the beat of the ‘Harvest Samba’. School was once again the grateful recipient of a magnificent bread wheat sheaf; the centrepiece of the harvest table and kindly donated by ‘New Norfolk Oven’ on Hamilton Road. The generous gifts of food were taken to the elderly at the The Lawns, by Y4 children who enjoyed chatting and singing to them in the community lounge. Produce was also gratefully received by Bauleah House and the Great Yarmouth Food Bank.
