PUPILS and parents of St Nicholas Priory Junior School are pictured enjoying the weekly Maths Caf run by Advanced Skills Teacher in maths and Year 4 Leader, Mr Jim Little.

Parents or other adult members of the family are invited to pop in to the ‘caf’ to enjoy a cup of tea whilst taking part in fun activities such as games and maths puzzles with their children. This has proved to be a popular event and helps parents to understand how their children learn maths at school. The children love working with their parents and the activities encourage a better understanding and greater enthusiasm for the subject for the whole family. The Maths Caf is open to Year 5 parents on a Tuesday and Years 3 and 4 parents on a Thursday in the dining room at 9am, however if one of the days is not convenient, parents are welcome to attend either of these sessions.
