THE horticultural heroes of Edward Worlledge Junior School had a double reason to be cheerful in the garden last week by learning that the school has recently been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society’s Level 2 in School Gardening by showing they have a vision for gardening and run a success environmental club after school. For their achievement they were rewarded with a Grow Your Own Veg book along with a pack of handtools. To add to their excitement, the launch of the newly built Wellington Boot Rack was brought into the school’s Quad Garden so the children have a tidy area to keep their boots before and after gardening.
A huge thank you to Mr John Farmer for his sterling carpentry skills in the making of such an excellent item for the garden.
