YEAR 5 children at Edward Worlledge Junior School undertook a rather messy task clearing out the school's pond. Having noticed the drink cartons, crisp packets and other rubbish that met a watery end, pupils spent their lunchbreaks tidying up the pond, which has become home to a couple of mallards.

Having noticed the drink cartons, crisp packets and other rubbish that met a watery end, pupils spent their lunchbreaks tidying up the pond, which has become home to a couple of mallards.
The children are appealing for any unwanted fishing nets as the ones they currently have holes in them.
