Not quite your typical Agatha Christie tale, but the school works alongside the Norfolk Business Exchange and delivers science in a different way.
The imaginary scenario, using real forensic methods, was to find out which suspect had poisoned the chicken from a hotel.
The children were taught how to gather soil samples, without contamination of the evidence, and given a better understanding of how DNA, fingerprints and fibre matches all help to catch criminals.
After gathering the evidence from the science day, deducing who was guilty of the crime was next on their agenda. Was it the hotel owner? Was it the head chef or their second in command or the waitress?
Only the children have the answers and the evidence to that story.
