GIFTED and Talented Year 3 historians from Edward Worlledge Junior School visited the Pyramid in Lowestoft to find out more about the life of the pharaohs. Pat and Jim from the Pyramid are experts in Egyptology and were able to talk to the children about the differences between how rich and poor, male and female Egyptians dressed. Hannah Warner, Tiah Davies, Joseph Bircham and Connor Robertson tried on clothing and jewellery, sampled hibiscus tea, read some hieroglyphics and learned about beliefs and customs as part of their research and enrichment project. After taking many photos and making design notes and the pupils will be designing and making their own ancient Egyptian clothes to replicate the styles, designs and fabrics of the time.
