THE class of 6RM at Edward Worlledge Junior School have been involved with conserving energy and saving the planet during their six-week science project.

The children were part of the Energy Busting scheme, run in connection with The National Trust, and were taught about fossil fuels, renewable gases and wind farms.

Part of their project was to also take regular meter readings, with the caretaker, Miss Fiske, also getting involved.

A number of children were made Energy Busters and charged with ensuring that light switches were turned off when it was not necessary to have them switched on.

At one point, even the head teacher was sitting in darkness in her office because the Energy Busters had struck.
