A teenager from Runham has established herself as a major name in the male-dominated world of motorsport.
Emily Taylor, 13, has become the first female driver to lift the UK Junior Rods Championship trophy in Skegness adding to her growing haul of silverware.
The Flegg High School pupil who comes from a family of motorsport enthusiasts earned herself enough points to win a pole position and went on to bag the top podium spot.
Her mother Sarah Taylor, said the family were stunned and delighted by her win and said she was a natural talent behind the wheel.
Emily, who had never before driven the Vauxhall Nova that took her to victory, left some 20 other drivers trailing, beating other competitors several years older than her.
“Me and her dad and both her older sisters have raced,” her mother said. “It is in her blood. She has been doing really well.”
