DURING Enrichment Week at Flegg High School and as I am an ex-pupil I helped at this event.
During the week, the normal timetable is suspended and all pupils explored the theme of change. Activities ranged from active learning by the Camouflaged Learning Team which has included a Battle of the Sexes Day, a James Bond Secret Agent Day and a Pirate Day. Each day students take part in team based challenges based around Maths, Science and Technology.
The students have also researched swine flu on the internet and made a news bulletin either targeting teenagers or the over 60's and finally there was a Business Activity where teams had to set-up a small business and design a new clothing range made out of recycled materials. At the end of the day, each team walked the catwalk to display outfits.
Concerning languages, teams are designing a new mural for the library and thinking about what the classroom of the future might be like.
