Evacuation from Burgh Castle

ONE person was evacuated from a block of four flats in Burgh Castle earlier today following a gas leak.

The occupant was ushered to safety from his top floor flat following the gas leak in the ground floor flat in Butt Lane shortly before midday.

The occupant was ushered to safety from his top floor flat following the gas leak in the ground floor flat in Butt Lane shortly before midday.

Firefighters from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston took 40 minutes to stop the leak and ventilate the property. Engineers from gas supplier National Grid were called out to repair the leak.
