SPANNING the ages six generations of the same family got together to greet their latest arrival last week.

The newest addition Oscar Tufts was born just a fortnight ago at James Paget University Hospital weighing in at 7lb 8oz.

Mum Jade Painter, 16, lives in Belton with her parents and 18 year old partner Brandon Tufts, who works at Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. Next is baby's grandmother Tania Tufts, 38, a full-time mum from Reedham.

Great granddad Jerry Smith, 58, lives near King's Lynn and great-great grandmother Trixie, 80, is from Cromer.

On Friday baby Oscar had his first meeting with the veteran of the family 98 year old great-great-great granddad Charlie Gee. A retired rail coach builder, Mr Gee lives at Halvergate House residential home in North Walsham.

Oscar's nanny Tania Tufts said: “It was the first time Charlie had seen Oscar, I think it was a little overwhelming for him. We try to get together as a family as often as possible and this was a wonderful occasion.”
