Next weekend sees the return of the Great Yarmouth Winter Beer and Cider Festival to St George’s Theatre for its second year.

This seasonal version is from Thursday to Sunday, November 24-27.

It will feature the very best ales, including seasonal brews, from Norfolk and Suffolk brewers including Adnams, Panther, Woodfordes, Fat Cat, Green Jack, St. Peters, Barrel and Sellers, Bullards and of course Great Yarmouth’s Lacons breweries. In addition to the local fare, festival goers will also have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of ales from further afield including Village Idiot from the White Horse Brewery in Oxfordshire, Plum Porter from Titanic Brewery in Staffordshire, Good Old Boy from the West Berkshire Brewery and Vanilla Stout, the Camra Supreme Champion Beer of Britain 2016 from Binghams Brewery also in Berkshire. Cider drinkers will have plenty of choice too with a range of fruity variants including blackberry, strawberry, rhubarb, cranberry and cherry as well as the more traditional vintage ciders and perry’s.

Live music is always an important feature of the festivals and there will be a number of bands and solo artists booked to appear throughout the weekend.

The festival opens at 5pm until 11pm on November 24 then for both lunch (11am to 3pm) and evening sessions (5pm to 11pm) on November 25 and 26, finishing with an afternoon lunch time session (noon to 4pm) on November 27.

Food will be available at each session from a special festival menu in St George’s Pavilion Café.

Tickets on the door for all sessions, entry prices vary from £3 to £5 depending on the session whilst a limited number of advance tickets are still available for most sessions through the St George’s Theatre booking office and on line at www.stgeorgestheatre.com or in person at the box office and on 01493 331484.
