THE 38th Gorleston St Andrew's Competitive Festival was an outstanding success, according to organisers.

Festival spokesman Margaret Jermany paid tribute to the committee who “worked tirelessly” and companies and agencies who backed the venture.

She said: “The committee

would like to thank the sponsors, Great Yarmouth Borough Council Arts Fund, Seachange Arts, Gorleston Rotary Club, the Britannia Lodge of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows, Bernard Thorpe and all the advertisers for their financial assistance.

“Grateful thanks are also due to Allen's Music Centre, once again, for the loan of the piano in the Chapter House for the duration of the festival.”

Alan Jermany was the festival photographer, and photographs taken at the final events will be on view at the Chapter House, St Andrew's Church on April 5, between 10am-2pm, when orders will be taken.
