Filby Primary School pupils welcomed parents and families to the school to celebrate Easter, marking the special time of year with an Easter assembly in which they entertained the audience with songs, music and poetry. Older children explained the stories behind the giving of eggs at Easter, whilst the youngest children, dressed in bunny ears and noses, sang a lovely Easter song. The recorder group gave their first recital, which was enjoyed by all and poems were shared. Following the Easter assembly, The Friends of Filby Primary School organised an Easter Fair for children and their families to enjoy. This special day which brought together pupils and their families concluded with an Easter egg hunt in which every pupil within the school had fun searching the school grounds for a chocolate egg to take home and enjoy on Easter Sunday.
