Gorleston Horticultural Society and Gorleston Flower Club's final show of the year was held at the Shrublands, Magdalen Way, at the weekend. The main exhibits in the horticultural section were chrysanthemums, with a wide variety in size and colour judged by Alan King, from Cambridge.

The main exhibits in the horticultural section were chrysanthemums, with a wide variety in size and colour judged by Alan King, from Cambridge. The vegetable sections and other flowers were judged by Bob Coutts, from Somerleyton.

Floral art on a Christmas theme was judged by Ann Bridge, from Norwich, who awarded best in show to Irene Smith for her exhibit Christmas Cocktail.

There were also some mouth-watering exhibits in the domestic economy section, judged by David Paterson from Yarmouth College.
