FIREFIGHTERS were called to a series of rubbish fires in the Great Yarmouth area during a busy weekend.The first incident took place in Acle New Road, Halvergate when fire crews from Norwich extinguished a tree stump on fire half a miles from the Stracey Arms Mill at Halvergate at 6.
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a series of rubbish fires in the Great Yarmouth area during a busy weekend.
The first incident took place in Acle New Road, Halvergate when fire crews from Norwich extinguished a tree stump on fire half a miles from the Stracey Arms Mill at Halvergate at 6.42pm on Saturday.
Fire crews were then called to extinguish a rubbish fire started by arsonists in Beccles Road, Belton at 10.05pm the same night.
On Sunday, arsonists caused three bin fires in Yarmouth- Deneside at 1.40am, St Peter's Plain at 2am and in Yarmouth Way shortly after 8pm.
The final incident was in Beccles Road, St Olaves when firefighters were called to a grass fire started by arsonists at 8.20pm on Sunday.
