MEMBERS of The Hong Kong Fire Service are pictured scaling the heights during a rescue training exercise in Great Yarmouth at the weekend.
The two fire fighters and an industrial rope access ambassador spent three days at the AID centre on the Harfrey Industrial Estate.
They were put through their paces on the 25m training tower under the watchful eye of a leading rescue training team.
AID advanced rescue trainer Marc Nicholls said: “Hong Kong has very little in the way of aerial rescue and height training.
“The purpose of the weekend was to show advanced techniques, and give an insight into different styles and more developed forms of training and increase safety standards.”
Other members of the training team were AID technical director and London eye rescue team co-ordinator Tjebbe Roestenburg, Hampshire Police tactical support and firearms officer Pete Steele, mountain rescue consultant Laurent Schneitter and advanced first aid trainer Jean Paul Lafferty.
