GORLESTON Firefighters had to rescue a two-year-old girl after she was trapped alone at her home in Oxford Avenue yesterday .

The girl was shut in after her parents left their front door open while they were just outside and it suddenly closed behind them.

The girl was shut in after her parents left their front door open while they were just outside and it suddenly closed behind them.

Firefighters used screwdrivers to open the door and the girl was unharmed during her ordeal, which happened at about 8.15am.
