Flags are flying at half mast outside Great Yarmouth town hall hall today as a mark of respect for those who died in last night’s terror attack in Manchester.
A spokesman for the borough council said the authority had followed other Government buildings in lowering the flags.
The decision was taken at 7.30am this morning as the nation awoke to news of the deadly bombing.
Brandon Lewis, police minister who is standing in the general election for Yarmouth tweeted: “Thoughts and prayers are with the victims and all those affected by the appalling, tragic events in Manchester.
“Huge thanks to our fantastic police and all in the emergency services working there to help people.”
