Fans of Great Yarmouth's puppet man are attempting to organise a flash-mob event through the social networking site Facebook.
More than 500 people are expected to assemble at his regular spot outside Pizza Hut in the town centre tomorrow.
Organisers say the “spontaneous” gathering is their take on the T-Mobile advertisements which have turned the phenomenon - where people assemble suddenly, perform an unusual action, then disperse - as a marketing tool.
The puppet man who was well known in Norwich for his dancing antics has more than 8000 fans on his Facebook page.
A spokesman for the organising group said: “Everyone is going to dance with the puppet man who is always there now with his puppets. People are finding out about it on Facebook and a lot of people are going.
“It is going to be filmed. Everyone has to make sure they are walking past that spot dead on 1pm then just start dancing for five minutes. It is going to be a very funny sight to see.”
