The Selecta DNA marking kits, one of the latest tools in crime prevention, are being offered to local residents by the Rural Flegg Villages Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

Police Community Support Officer Paul Edwards will be handing out the property marking kits on Wednesday, March 31, in the car park of the Village Hall between 7pm and 8pm.

The DNA marking kits work by applying a clear fluid to property such as a TV or iPod. The fluid marks the property with a unique code which is revealed when scanned with a UV light.

Property which is marked allows for easier identification if the property is stolen and subsequently recovered by police.

The kits will be handed out on a first come first serve basis and there is a limited supply. For further crime prevention advice visit www.norfolk.police.uk.
