Flood warnings in place as snow melts

Drivers are being warned to take care on the roads this morning due to flooding and roads still blocked by snow.

While much of the white stuff disappeared overnight, rural areas are still affected and south Norfolk police urged commuters to take care.

They said: “Lots of local flooding along with many rural roads still difficult, with most passing places still blocked.”

In Ringland, there were reports of snow making it difficult to pass near the A47.

A number of flood warnings were in place this morning, due to both heavy rainfall and melting snow, including:

• The upper Rivers Yare, Tiffey, Tas and Wacton.

• The River Waveney from Diss and the River Dove to Ellingham, including Bungay.
