Great Yarmouth Borough Council, the Shrublands Community Trust and MESH, the neighbourhood management programme for Gorleston, has teamed up with Sainsbury’s to invite up to 16 households in the Shrublands and Magdalen area of Gorleston to a Zero Waste Kitchen Challenge.

The four-week challenge, being organised by Recycle for Norfolk in partnership Sainsbury’s and Norfolk’s Plan Eat Save, includes a cookery workshop, a free pack of goodies to help avoid wasting food at home, simple to use food waste measurement forms to complete and return online, regular updates and advice on how to reduce food waste and £20 worth of Sainsbury’s vouchers.

The free cookery workshop is on Thursday, February 8 from 9.30am to 1pm at First Move Furnishaid, Artillery Square.
