As World Cup football fever is gripping the country, a local plumber's merchant has donated a football table to John Grant School so pupils can take part in a lunchtime football club.
As World Cup football fever is gripping the country, a local plumber's merchant has donated a football table to John Grant School so pupils can take part in a lunchtime football club. Plumbase in the Breydon Centre on the Harfreys Industrial Estate, presented the table in the week leading up to England's first match.
Plumbase donated the �300 football table so children at the special school can enjoy their own football games during and after the World Cup tournament. The school will locate the table in a communal area.
Ian Golden, Plumbase regional director, said: “My nephew attends the school and I'm very impressed by the way they make sure every child is encouraged to achieve as much as possible and take part in stimulating activities. Plumbase is a local business that likes to contribute to the community where it trades and this is our way of saying thank you.”
John Grant in Caister caters for 120 pupils aged from three to 19 years and headteacher Gerald Hampson said: “We are very grateful to Plumbase for their generosity in providing this valuable resource for our students.”
