RETIRED doctor Mark Rumble has bought a former Great Yarmouth hotel at auction for £100,000. Auctioneer Mark Duffield, of Aldreds, said there had been several bidders for the York Road property that was ravaged by fire in 2001. He said he believed the former GP - who retired from practice in Yarmouth and Caister four years ago but still lives in the nearby village of Filby - was intending to develop the building as flats. Mr Duffield said the property could be converted into eight flats and sold on with a profit of up to £200,000.
