A FORMER vicar of Wroxham has been made an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours.The Very Rev Henry Stapleton, who was Dean of Carlisle until he retired 10 years ago, was given the honour for services to the Church of England.
A FORMER vicar of Wroxham has been made an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours.
The Very Rev Henry Stapleton, who was Dean of Carlisle until he retired 10 years ago, was given the honour for services to the Church of England.
He and his wife Mary (nee Sapwell), who is from Norfolk and whose father was a Canon of Norwich Cathedral, spent more than five years as vicar at Wroxham and other neighbouring churches from 1975 - 1981.
