Four week ban for driver

A 21-year-old man who drove down a main Yarmouth road at more the double the speed limit was banned from driving for four weeks yesterday.

Ben Murray, of Yarmouth Road, Ormesby, was spotted driving along Pasteur Road at 64.

A 21-year-old man who drove down a main Yarmouth road at more the double the speed limit was banned from driving for four weeks yesterday.

Ben Murray, of Yarmouth Road, Ormesby, was spotted driving along Pasteur Road at 64.8mph at 10.20pm on July 6. The stretch of road has a 30 mph limit.

Yarmouth Magistrates' Court heard it was Murray's first motoring offence and that at the time there was little traffic in the area.

Murray was also fined £185 and ordered to pay £50 in costs.
