The whole school took part on the afternoon, with Key Stage 2 children partnering a child from either the Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1. Lots of goodies had been donated and the children had held fundraising events to raise money to buy extra items towards the shoeboxes. They went to the hall to “shop” for their shoebox. All of the items were laid out so they could choose what they wished to include. After that they went back to the classrooms to wrap the shoeboxes. It was a very busy afternoon with all the children taking time to consider how lucky they are and how much joy they would be bringing to the child or family who received their box. The 87 shoeboxes were then taken on Saturday to Radio Broadland's Load the Lorry.
