POLICE arrested a 46-year-old man suspected of carrying out a murder in Calais six years ago, at a home on Gorleston's Magdalen estate at about 11am this morning.
POLICE arrested a 46-year-old man suspected of carrying out a murder in Calais six years ago, at a home on Gorleston's Magdalen estate at about 11am this morning.
Neighbours reported seeing armed police surrounding the house as officers from the Metropolitan Police's extradition squad were joined by local police in a joint operation.
A European warrant had been issued by French authorities for the arrest of Barry Finch, who is alleged to have murdered Jean-Jacques Berteloot on November 1, 2002.
He will appear before City of Westminster magistrates tomorrow.
