Hopeful hounds and competitive canines will be vying for a range of titles at the second Caister dog show being staged at the lifeboat station.

Following last year’s success Julie Utting is hoping the dog loving-community will again turn out and support the event.

Tagging last year’s maiden show as “absolutely fantastic” Mrs Utting said she lost count of how many animals took a turn in the ring to impress the judges.

At this year’s event on Sunday May 14 she will be raising money for Action for Greyhounds.

Mrs Utting used to run Norfolk and Suffolk Animal Trust but had to give up to care for her husband. Staging the dog show was a way of supporting other animal centres, she said.

It will be undercover if wet and there will be stalls and raffles. Pedigree judging starts at 11am with fun classes from 1pm.
