BUDDING photographers in the borough are being reminded that there is still time to enter a competition to have their photo grace the front cover of the next edition of the residents' magazine, Borough News.

Residents have until Tuesday, June 1 to submit a photograph that either contains them, their children, friends, other members of the family, colleagues - local people in general - and taken somewhere within the borough.

The best photograph will grace the cover of the edition of Borough News that will be heading to all homes in the borough in July.

The overall winner will be selected by a judging panel from two different categories - under 16's, and over 16's - although both categories will have a winner selected - who will both receive vouchers to be spent locally. All appropriate entries received will also be exhibited in the Town Hall during June.

Photographs must be taken by the individual submitting them and must have the appropriate permission from the person/people in the photo - including parental/guardian permission for any photos of children.

Digital entries can be sent to boroughnews@great-yarmouth.gov.uk with prints sent to Karla Symonds, Communications Manager, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Town Hall, Hall Plain, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QG.

Anyone submitting a photo must also provide their name, address, telephone number, and make it clear which age category they are entering the photo into.
