PLATE spinners, jugglers and tight rope walkers took over Caister Infant School this week.

Pupils have been learning circus tricks under the tutoring of Circus Ferrel, led by Martin and Lynette Taylor. Workshops have been held throughout the school since Monday building up to a circus extravaganza of performances which started yesterday and will run until Sunday.

Head teacher Brendan McCarney said children had thoroughly enjoyed the week. “It shows the children that to learn a new skill, you have to work hard at it.”

Pupils have learnt to hoola-hoop and to walk a tight rope, although it only 2cms from the ground. Proud parents and families will attend performances being held in the circus tent on the school field and tickets are also available to book by calling 07776364606.
