MORE than 100 people attended a fundraising fun day at the Seagulls Children's Centre in Gorleston last Tuesday despite the drab weather. They joined in activities including a circus skills workshop, face painting by the local sea cadets, a table top sale, raffle, tombola and lucky dip stalls - raising £237.
MORE than 100 people attended a fundraising fun day at the Seagulls Children's Centre in Gorleston last Tuesday despite the drab weather. They joined in activities including a circus skills workshop, face painting by the local sea cadets, a table top sale, raffle, tombola and lucky dip stalls - raising £237.
Richard Mills, centre manager said: “Businesses have been very generous in their donation of raffle prizes and our local families have been really keen to give something back to the centre. It was a fantastic day.”
The centre offers emotional and practical support to families with children under five from Gorleston. Its services include a 52 place nursery, crèche, one to one support, and parenting groups.
