FATHER Christmas collected a treasure trove of 500 presents to give to Great Yarmouth children this year at a charity fundraiser.
The man in red and his sleigh picked up the pile of toys and sweets from the 99p Store in Regent Road and at his grotto at the Priory Centre, in Priory Plain, at the weekend as part of the Great Yarmouth Fayre.
Father Christmas was assisted by his helper, grandmother of seven Julie Staff, and funds were raised for the community centre by their efforts.
Julie, 53, approached 99p Stores bosses to ask if they could help her raise money for the Priory Centre and make children smile, and they donated 500 gifts, which included Toy Story 3 and Simpsons Crackers, Santa Hats, Christmas decorations, toys and lots more.
Hussein Lalani, boss of 99p Stores, said: “We’re delighted to help out. Julie does a magnificent job raising money for the Priory Centre which is a wonderful and vibrant part of this community.”
