Just as the public has become used to watching films such as Avatar in 3D, Great Yarmouth's Pleasure Beach is ready to unveil cinema in 4D.

The seafront attraction park will be premiering the £200,000 cinema, one of only a handful in Britain, when it arrives from its Midlands manufacturer on June 1.

The 30-seat cinema, which will have disabled access, will be showing two specially created, short films suitable for the whole family, a pirate adventure and a spooky comedy.

Pleasure Beach boss Albert Jones explained the audience would be wearing 3D glasses, but the experience would be added to through such special “4D” effects as moving seats, splashing water, smells and touching sensations.
