Gilbert and Sullivan workshop at Fairhaven Primary School
SIXTY children from schools around the area took part in a Gilbert and Sullivan workshop at Fairhaven Primary School, in South Walsham on Friday.Members of Kent's Cameo Opera Company showed the pupils how to bellow out melodic tunes and the power of amusing lyrics from the Pirates of Penzance and the Mikado.

The year four pupils then performed in front of parents at Fairhaven.
Fairhaven headteacher Melodie Fearns said: “Some of the children did not really know much about opera and thought it was just women wailing away. But by the end of the day they were all singing songs and had big beaming smiles of the faces as they left.”
