An 11-year-old girl was left heartbroken after thieves broke into her garden shed and stole the off-road bike she was meant to have for Christmas.
Instead Mia Wilson only received the accessories including the gloves that went with it, and a couple of bath bombs as gifts.
This week her mother Gail Wilson of Raleigh Road, Great Yarmouth, said thieves unscrewed the shed-door hinges to steal the brand new dirt bike, said to be worth some £600.
She said she was devastated for her daughter who has ADHD and hoped to take up the sport competitively having previously owned a mini-moto.
The bike was “the one thing she really wanted” and Mrs Wilson had borrowed the money from her father to pay for it.
The theft was discovered at 7am on Monday December 18 by Mrs Wilson.
Forensic officers have visited the scene. Anyone with information can contact PC Ben Chard via 101.
