Clear out your closets! That is the message from TV style guru Gok Wan who wants to delve deeper into the wardrobes of local people to give them a sartorial dressing down.

The fashionista - famous for his crusade to improve body image among “normal” women - wants to root through everything, especially those calamitous choices that would make Su Pollard look demure.

And he is asking both men and women to come to the Town Hall's Assembly Room on Sunday, April 25 with their entire wardrobe in order to be set on the path of retail recovery.

According to the makers of Channel 4's Gok's Fashion Fix Gok is on a mission to banish the nation's wardrobe disasters and is travelling round the country to find the woman or man who needs his help the most.

His team have selected six mid-sized towns to visit, among them Yarmouth, in the hope that those in need of a clothing renovation will turn up at 9am with their grimmest garments and most dismal dresses.

“He will want to see what you are buying and wearing, so come along for figure fixing, mini makeovers and a collective wardrobe clearout,” says the promotional blurb.

“Gok will endeavour to see as many people as possible in order to Fashion Fix Yarmouth and he is on the hunt to find one person who he thinks needs a brand new wardrobe and the mother of all makeovers.”

Fashion Fix has a strict over 18's policy and cannot allow anyone under 18 in the venue.
